Y'all know the PC market is on fire when the prices of the parts from the video changed dramatically and its only early May

There's no reason to go with 1050 Ti instead of RX 570 and 8GB of RAM nowadays is just simply too little. i5 10400F sometimes can be found for less than i3. This build is full of missed opportunities.

I just made a hypothetical until build, I would go with an 11th gen six core and no graphics card. And maybe even the overclockable model and skip the graphics card for now until you can find something worthwhile on eBay.

Note. Important. Very Important. Read only if you are really willing to buy the components. GTX 1050 Ti was release in 2016, it's still a good gpu BUT NOT FOR 200$. Instead, buy a gtx 1660 or a 1650. Watch out for the prices, because you could buy a component without noticing it's real price!

I'm sorry but this is kind of BS, for just the RAM alone. Even just running a heavily modded instance of MINECRAFT won't work on 8GB of RAM alone. You need AT LEAST 16GB if you want to game in any major modern title, and even some older ones, and this is especially true if you're trying to run a browser like Chrome in the background. 8GB of RAM was the recommended almost half a decade ago. These days most games are much more resource-intensive, especially in the RAM department, and that's fine... If you are ONLY running the game, and zero background processes like Chrome or OBS. 8GB is absolutely not okay for even most casual gamers, if they expect to get more out of their PC besides the baseline of what a console can do. And I think I speak for just about the entirety of the PC gaming community when I say, if you're building a PC, you probably want to do more than just play games on it. Largely, the suggestions of components in this guide amount to nothing short of bad consumer advice. If you are building a PC, you NEVER want to go the absolute cheapest route, because there will be no way in hell it won't need to be upgraded again in just a short year or two. The clearest case of this is the RAM. You absolutely should not buy 8GB of RAM, because even if you can deal now, chances are, minimum requirements for modern games will hit above that bracket sooner rather than later, and you'll just be shilling out AGAIN for the upgrade later on anyway. Do yourself a favor, and make sure when you buy components, you are doing so in the basis of future proofing. It will just save you time, energy, and financial pain in the future doing so. Many websites like Newegg and Microcenter have useful tools to help you build your computer, and you can also use both to compare prices to get the best deal, as well as using browser apps like Honey. As well, there are entire communities like r/PCmasterrace on Reddit or the LTT forums that will help you plan your build, so you're not just throwing your money away on your first build, like you would be if you follow this guide. This guide is bad consumer advice. Plain. Simple. Period.

Windows 10 "maybe-not-so-legit-key-but-who-really-cares" keys should be 10 bucks or less (saw a bunch for $3-5), depending on how shady you wanna go (I heard apparently you can pirate an old version of windows and update to 10 then extract the Key from that and you'll have a totally legit windows key forever), or Linux your way through which could work depending on the games you play, considering this is a 1050ti build you're probably gonna be either emulating or playing lighter titles most of the time. I really think a 1050ti PC for emulation is decent value right now, tho I'd not recommend buying a PC anyways if you wanna run relatively new stuff. I had a friend ask for tips on parts, my conclusion was "either get at least something with an RX570 or better, or don't get anything if you're only interested in gaming". I think most PC builds fall apart or take a huge hit when you actually factor in a 100% from Microsoft copy of (most likely) Win10Pro.
