If you go to Intel's office in Cali, you see a lot of Indian H1B workers with no name degree working there. They accept much less salary for the same job. These subpar worker also bring toxic caste and nepotism culture to Intel. Intel has been cutting cost on Top Talents for years. Their failure is well expected! -- words from Intel Insiders

AMD cpus since up until recently and even now, present a smaller percent of the cpus in use. Hence releasing a paper for Intel cpus makes more sense. Hence more people look into Intel. Hence more problems for Intel. Cant find security flaws on something you are not working on.

The crazy thing is that the CPU is almost never a bottleneck anymore. They have gotten so fast that my i5-9600K Coffee Lake 6-Core pushed easily to 5 GHz on air cooling rarely bumps up to over 60% on any game or other workload I have. Does Intel really have more problems that everyone else? Not really. They are just being transparent. The only one that every really represented a genuine threat was on the data center, and it was nullified with a software patch.

4900H crushed 10750H hands on. There is no substitute for the Threadripper in PC or EPYC in servers even. Hope Tigerlake will be better. Your Xeon server line is a lost cost. Intel only gives 10% improvement with each generation. You can can much more each year with AMD. Intel is still at 10nm. And that is a huge shame..AMD is always value For Money .

Intel keeps having problems due to incompetence of it's fabs (particularly yield department). The CEO needs to sell off its fabs and manufacturing unit to the highest bidder (Glofo or Samsung?) ASAP and buy one of ARM/Nvidia/AMD/Qualcomm with the proceeds for Intel to stay relevant.

REALITY CHECK: Real world exploits don't exist for the same reason wpa2 wifi hack GUI software doesn't exist on Windows! The software writers are actively blocked from releasing it for public use! But, YOU DAMN WELL BETTER BELIEVE ALL THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES HAVE AND ARE ACTIVELY USING THESE EXPLOITS, AND ARE ONE LEAK AWAY FROM PUBLIC ACCESS. As for any existing known public hacks, it isn't legally safe to write or release outside of maybe Linux, much like existing Linux exploit distros that DON'T HAVE WINDOWS EQUIVALENTS. Anyone not pointing out this reality is either ignorant or deliberately misleading the public on the severity of the problem. LINUS!

Before slashing on Intel, please look at the market share of Intel and AMD CPUs. As a hacker or researcher I wouldn't search for CPU security flaws of a company that has less than 30% marketshare (and 0% on all OSX systems that are more common amongst richer people and managers) If AMD would've been the most popular CPU company for years the title would've most likely been "Why Does AMD Kepp Having Problems?" (I'm not saying that Linus is slashing on Intel, but that most people in the comments are... Don't want to piss off any hardcore fanboys)

Every month I tweet about another Intel security flaw. They don't care about any users. (The Passmark “benchmarking” software v9 shows AMD processors as the fastest in single-core performance. The new one, v10, shows Intel processors as fastest in single-core “performance”. The software also shows that Passmark's bank balance was higher than it was at v9. www.kitguru.net/gaming/joao-silva/passmarks-new-performancetest-v10-heavily-favours-intel-processors ) www.reddit.com/r/amd for help. I love saying this and hitting nails into a huge alien space coffin: just avoid the evil global non-tax-paying law-exempt Amazon corporation. How about everyone in the world gives Jeff Bezos all of their money?

@Techquickie ... Really... bitdefender ? i tought you had minimal criteria for advertisers.... No one should be suggested to use an antivirus that have a reputation only because of the money they paid for getting reviewed... at others... dont forget.... Once you installed it you keep it (because they made it so complicated to uninstall that most peoples will just .... let it installed) Bit Defender, The antivirus you uninstall then reboot .... then that reinstall during the next boot (and silently that time) that was enough for me to click the unsubscribe button... been fan for years but ... this is the drop that make the glass overfilled.

I plan to sell my rig tomorrow after giving up a week trying to get my virtualization environment back up all week as VMS randomly will not setup due to latency. I really wish that Intel would fully fix their CPU problems. Eventhough I'm all for AMD Ryzen, I'm staying with Intel because of Thunderbolt 3. The fact that I can leave my eGPU at home and just bring my Dell Latitude tablet when travelling is the reason why I sold my gaming laptop. If Intel cannot do anything to fix their ongoing vulnerabilities and make Thunderbolt 4 much better than before, I might be going the 'two device route' where I would have the tablet for travel and a super powerful gaming rig alongside all its peripherals at home.

Let me give you the correct answer to why? The same reason windows 10 is constantly updating......... whether you like it/want it/don't like it, don't want it.... Because these POS Intel and Microsoft are bed fellows with governments; they don't care about you me your mom Grandpa little cousin older brother little sister, ANYBODY but themselves. Do you really think these billion dollar companies can't afford to pay someone to find these "exploits" faster than the working class? But idiots (including myself, in the past, before I woke up) keep buying their garbage, as I call it, their R&D garbage; so why would they change/sell a better product?; If everyone keeps buying the sh.t, why spend more money than they have to? Sales speak; we make shit, they buy it, and buy more and we raise prices and they buy it and want more so why make it better when we can sell sh.t and everyone's happy ...
