I heard that human brain can see about 7 million colors because of the RGB cone cells But modern LED displays have 16.7 million colors in each pixel than how do we see that?

If OLED screens have twice as much green pixels than red and blue ones, how is their resolution calculated? Per green subpixel (what i'd guess) or as one per blue and red subpixel (which would be the true resolution)?

And sometimes you upload a PNG and it turns into JPEG and actually uses more data. I had PNGs convert into JPEGs that were 2-4 times the size of the original PNGs
Rombout Versluijs
Rombout Versluijs Prieš 7 mėnesių
Ive been using ONG for years for social, once I learned that trick I never did use JPG no more. Thats also why I hammer NOT to a mobile phone for uploading, this also compresses the images so that's double compression
Rombout Versluijs

PS in your post about that man from twitter, it actually stated they use 97%, which is surer high preset. I guess FB uses around 60-70 or so. It has horrible artifacts with JPG

Techquickie/LTT video idea: Testing performance of tower placement. You've already tested different cooling solutions and settings, but always on top of a table. I guess most people have their PCs under the desk or crammed into a corner, if you don't know better you even might try putting it into a cabinet. See how much you can benefit from one placement to another. Some scenarios: Under desk, top of desk, inside cabinet with door, inside cabinet without door, other room (like Linus). Followup could be how to configure fans in what scenario.

You do know that you are trying to demonstrate the difference of quality between two images of disparate compression formats by compressing them both with MPEG4 compression, right? You do know that the only way for us to actually see the “superiority” of the lossless PNG over the lossy JPEG JFIF, is for you to supply links to the original files, “in the description below,” right? I have not seen so many cosine coefficient/quantisation artefacts in a PNG image in my life! (Not true. I see it quite often in so many “photography tutorial” videos, making the same mistake, demonstrating the same “loss of quality” comparisons). Of course there are lossless video compression algorithms, also, in which we can possibly see the difference, but LTtown does not publish in any of them, either, for precisely the same reasons.

You got something wrong there 1:43 16bit colour is very much. 16bit generally means 16 bits per color channel (RGB). So it’s not 2^16≈65,000 but 2^(3*16)≈ 281 Trillion colours. Most monitors support just 8 bit -> 2^(8*3) ≈ 16.8 Million colours.
